Confusing

Everyday I wake up with some goal in my head,
by end of day I starting chasing another one instead.
I want to reach for the moon and reach for the stars,
but I like the look of Venus, maybe I'll head to Mars.
Things will never stay the same, everything is meant to change,
but everyone wants you to remain the same, well that's strange!

It might be really amusing when you read my confusion,
but what I'm trying to say is life is an illusion.
You change your needs based on your situation,
everything you fail at is just another emancipation.
The gem which was today might be a stone tomorrow,
today you might be the richest but tomorrow you might borrow.

Everything may seem to be moving too fast, faster than you want,
somethings you can control but there are somethings you can't.
There maybe sleepless nights in the middle of September,
but which was the last night you slept well and remembered?
