everyday someone has something to write about,
everyday we have reasons to rebel and shout.
hardly satisfied with what we are, we wish to be better
when things get better, its not good enough to be the trendsetter.
the hunger for more, the avarice , the greed,
will it be a disease or the evolution of a new breed?

what have we got whenever we did a good deed?
how many times have you been helped when you bleed?
if life would have been simple like Jack and his magic beans,
if life would not have become monotonous like the machines.
the world is improving, people are moving, emotions are at a standstill.
tweets are being sent, posts are being shared,
now click of a button shows that we care.

we are the same people who complain that life ain't fair,
what will be the world be if smiles are rarer than a stare .
we can act out that we are happy but how many of us really are,
you may pose yourself as the sun, but still you are just another star.
widen your vision, the universe is bigger than you think,
deplete your ego, even a loose screw can be the ship's reason to sink .
